RECENT WORKS
In the heart of London's skyline, Bells Power took on the ambitious task of delivering six FG Wilson generators to Level 57 of 22 Bishopsgate. These are the highest installed generators in the northern hemisphere and serve the tallest building in the City of London. This state-of-the-art "vertical village" now boasts a power backup solution as impressive as its stature, thanks to Bells Power's meticulous planning, design, and implementation.

Located on London’s Oxford Street, Selfridges is one of the world's most iconic department stores. The shop comprises six floors, 10 acres of retail space, 11 restaurants and two exhibition halls. The position of three very large diesel tanks was restricting articulated lorry deliveries to the basement loading bays. Our client required a solution to the compromised access, so commissioned Bells MES to remove the tanks and replace them with a new tank and pumping system.

When an emergency backup generator faced sheared bolts and plates, Bells Power Services offered an innovative on-site repair solution. Avoiding costly and disruptive off-site procedures, our team swiftly designed and implemented a bespoke sliding frame. This on-site approach resulted in a fully operational generator at a fraction of the initially quoted cost, showcasing our commitment to efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
GUY’S AND ST THOMAS’ HOSPITAL
The Royal London Hospital has a history dating back almost 300 years, and Bells have shared only a tiny portion of their history over the past 14 years. In those 14 years of partnership, Bells installed this Power-Platform in 2010, which was the first in Europe, that utilised Dead-Bus Synchronising to enable a guaranteed 2.2MW within 17 seconds of a mains failure and continues to support and maintain the whole package.

Bells Power Services collaborated with a consultancy to upgrade the standby generator at St Charles Hospital. Remedial works included a new day tank, pipework, control panel, and a leak detection system. Cleaning, painting, and flooring enhancements were performed for added protection against spillage. Post-upgrades, we conducted resistive load bank testing, ensuring the generator met hospital specifications.

Powering Essential Services In collaboration with Anglian Water & SSE, Bells Power Group designed and implemented a comprehensive generator system tailored to Grafham WTW's specific needs. From acoustic considerations to a massive 200,000-litre fuel storage, every aspect was crafted to ensure reliability and efficiency. This project further solidified Bells Power Group's reputation for delivering bespoke, turnkey power solutions for vital utilities.
GRAFHAM WATER TREATMENT WORKS
Bells Power Services efficiently upgraded the Olympic Park, meeting tight deadlines. We renovated existing generators, performed BMS wiring modifications, and installed two new generators to consultant standards. Quick intervention during a defective machine test ensured on-time delivery and minimal disruption.

Bells Power delivered a robust backup system for an embassy in Pretoria, handling the entire process from design to install. The customized N+1 system includes two 275kVA generators, 5000-litre bulk fuel tank, and automatic transfer panels shipped overseas and installed onsite. This turnkey solution provides extended runtime and seamless switching, resulting in a fully automated, reliable power system engineered to the client's unique specifications.

In securing a long-term lease for a new build in Gresham Street, Hermes Real Estate was obligated to supply Standard Bank with backup power. By deploying 3 x 2000 kVA FG Wilson diesel generator sets, Bells not only met strict constraints but also expedited the lease by 3 months, positively impacting our client's projected income revenue.

Bells collaborated with Land Securities and NG Bailey to deliver a cutting-edge solution for this sought-after development in just over 18 months. Featuring 2 x 2MVA tenants LV prime-rated sets and a 660kVA life safety LV set, the project showcases Bells' efficiency and innovation, with a full hot/standby Allen Bradley PLC system ensuring seamless control and operation.
